Military Museum, Port Dickson, Malaysia

In the town center of Port Dickson proudly stands the military museum—a state owned asset drawing crowds of mainly domestic tourists, their entire families in tow.

There are multiple sections faithfully depicting the different phases of the various wars and conflicts that have affected this region of the world. Full-size models of aircraft, tanks and artillery are displayed for an afternoon of learning and recreation.

Small handicraft stalls offer the much needed breaks from seriousness, while a handful of shops and carts serve up soft drinks and ice creams.

This is probably the most popular landmark here and is not to be missed when visiting this historic location.

Of course, if visiting only for a day, the evening must be kept free to enjoy the beautiful beaches, and chilling at restaurants.

What a wonderful find. That first aircraft alone is totally worth visiting, thanks for sharing this find!

In Malaysia we don’t appreciate our museums enough, which why I’ve highlighted 8 galleries and museums worth visiting if you’re ever in Kuala Lumpur, do check them out!
