March 21, 2018: Steamboat Park- North Dakota

While on a trip to visit the North Dakota State Capitol Building my husband and I stopped to check out Steamboat Park. It is right along the Missouri River and is really beautiful. The park includes at 60-foot-long replica of the steamboat “Yellowstone.” It was quite impressive.

Steamboat Park2What was interesting was the fact that the Lewis and Clark expedition traveled though this area. I am related to John Colter, who was part of the expedition, so that was a little exciting. . The dogs were just excited to get out of the car and explore for a while, lol. It is a beautiful area and definitely worth a visit while in the area.
