Lufthansa: Bigger planes, bigger profits trans-Atlantic

Lufthansa, which makes more than half its revenue from first- and business-class seats, says the routes between German and North America are its most profitable—and it’s taking steps on both fronts by switching flights over to bigger planes with more of those profitable seats. By early next year, it will be using 15 A380s and 19 747-8s on U.S. routes, all with refurbished interiors. MORE
