Louisville’s Trolley de ‘Ville

I love city tours where I can sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery. While visiting Louisville, Kentucky, I learned about Trolley de ‘Ville tours. The trolley picks up visitors for the 90-minute narrated tour at the Frazier History Museum, 820 West Main Street. Making reservations online and waiting at the appointed time for the City Fun Tour was easy.

This is not a hop-on-hop-off tour, per se, but rather a pleasant tour of the city without worrying about driving myself. It also gave me ideas for attractions I wanted to come back and see, including downtown museums and attractions and river boats. I was particularly interested in the beautiful architecture in Old Louisville, America’s largest Victorian neighborhood.

At Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, the tour briefly stops at the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs. We had enough time to take pictures, visit the gift shop, and get something to drink.

I can highly recommend this tour because of its route and informative guide/driver, who provided interesting information about this beautiful city.
