Hodgenville, Kentucky, is most often associated with Abraham Lincoln and rightly so.
Any Lincoln scholar knows the 16th President of the United States was born two miles south of the community of 3,000 and lived from the ages of 2 to 7, seven miles east of Hodgenville at Knob Hill.
When you visit, there are four places you need to see: Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, including Knob Hill; the 1909 Statue of Lincoln in the town square; and the Lincoln Museum.
It will take you one day to thoroughly enjoy this significant history, but stay another day to enjoy the shops, restaurants, and Kentucky’s longest-running country music showcase – The Lincoln Jamboree.
