It’s leaf-peeping season in Japan, too

Autumn leaf-peeping is a popular Autumn travel goal in many parts of the U.S., as our featured blog today reminds us.

But it’s a world-wide phenomenon as well, and Japan Today, which offers English-language news about Japan online has collected a list of popular autumn hikes in Japan.

Japan’s most popular trees are different from some of those in other areas, resulting in a different mix of colors and shades. In particular, there are many bright gold gingko leaves and a variety of crimson from several maple varieties.

The Japan Today website’s list of hikes and spectacular pictures make a worthwhile read.
