Hong Kong: At speed and at leisure

Hong Kong—like Macau, a special administrative region of China offering multiple free passages to Indian passport holders for up to 14 days over a six-month period—is a very busy island indeed.

And THAT is an understatement. The country runs at breakneck speed, with excellent transportation systems and digital connectivity, and numerous stalls and cafes cater to the needs of those that cannot afford a moment of leisure.

Come sundown though and the pace seems to slacken a bit, and this is the perfect opportunity to take a walk along the waterfront, dazzling with lights and amazing views.

A number of museums dot the promenade, but we avoided these as they are open only till early evening, with steep visitor fees. The relaxed stroll did not disappoint, with clouds lending their special aura to the evening.
