Reykjavik, Iceland

TravelGumbo is a big fan of Iceland as a travel destination!  Now is an especially good time of year to go because the days are already very long, the weather mild (although never warm) and the main tourists crowds of summer have not yet arrived.

The highlighted photo is taken from the bell-tower of the nation’s cathedral, Hallgrimskirkje.  It shows a nice view of the colorful city of Reykjavik, with the sea and distant snow capped mountains.  The photo was taken about this time of year.

Couldn’t agree more that the late spring, early summer is the time to go!
