I currently have no view, whatever, from my bathroom. My last house had what I liked to believe was the most beautiful view in the world from a toilet. Subjective I know, but a wrap-around vista of Arizona canyon.
I was staying in the beautiful London apartment of a friend of a friend, who knows people whose names some might recognize, including Robert & Aline Crumb, the R. Crumb of ‘Keep on Truckin’’ and ‘Fritz the Cat’ fame. While relaxing and surveying the scene before me, I noticed this painting with an inscription to my friend’s friend and signature, ‘Aline Crumb’, an artist in her own right. I took my time and enjoyed the view.
