The Good Gravy! Family roller coaster at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari was recently named the Best New Theme Park Attraction of 2024 by the “USA Today” 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, a category many of us hardly knew existed.
The family roller coaster features a train shaped like a giant gravy boat that twists and turns around larger-than-life kitchen accessories, including a whisk, a rolling pin, a bottle of milk, a stuffing box, and a chicken-shaped kitchen timer. The train, which reaches 7-story height at its peak, also passes through a giant can of cranberry sauce.
Holiday World is located in Santa Claus, Indiana and was originally opened in 1946 a seasonal attraction called Santa Claus Land. Over the years, the season extended as did the list of holidays it celebrates, including the Fourth of July, Halloween and Thanksgiving. It’s operated by fourth-generation members of the founding family
