Loyal readers of this website will know that I am somewhat obsessed with old grain elevators. I’ve written about them previously and more than once.
During our most recent trip through the small town of Plains, Montana, I took a few minutes to photograph their elevator. It’s steel and not quite the old wooden grain elevators of my past, but has many of the features of the prairie elevators I’ve grown to love (and miss).
This elevator was located beside a propane dealer, as witnessed by the many white 500 gallon tanks.
There was also an old tractor parked nearby. Farmers never throw anything away.
