The motto in the window is the hallmark of the oddly-named (I always thought) International Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization with nearly 200 years of history behind it.

In this case, it adorns a window in the 1873 Odd Fellows hall in Nevada City, California, where it is still home to IOOF Oustomah Lodge No. 16, which still carries on the order’s traditional community events and service.
