Not many people outside of Canada have ever been to Edmonton. Unlike most Canadian cities it’s more than an hour’s drive from the Canada-US border making it harder and more expensive to reach. It has cold harsh weather much of the year. A friend once jokingly told me that Edmonton probably resembled an “Arctic Omaha”.
Edmonton is Alberta’s provincial capitol and is a populous and fairly sophisticated city. I visited it during the Covid epidemic and enjoyed this view of the city’s rather nice downtown skyline from my hotel room.
