Discovering a Little Kitchen History

I don’t enjoy cooking.

When several people suggested that I check out The Watkins Museum & Store, located at the company’s headquarters in Winona, Minnesota, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it.

But I did.

Since 1868, Watkins has been the go-to source for extracts, flavors, spices, herbs, and seasonings.

Displays and exhibits tell the story of the ingenuity and hard work of founder J.R. Watkins, the company’s history, products, advertising, photographs, and other memorabilia.

After visiting the museum, I entered the Watkins store and purchased a little history with a bottle of vanilla and a few other Watkins baking products. I never said I didn’t enjoy baking!
