Delta’s cheap “e-fare” — That’s the “Spirit!”

Delta will soon introduce a “basic economy” fare it calls the “e-fare,” to compete with low-cost carrier Spirit in a number of markets. It tried the fare out earlier this year in select markets. For a discount from the regular fare (some larger than others) the traveler boards last, is ineligible for upgrades and can’t make same-day ticket changes. MORE
