Cunard will add a fourth Queen to its cruise-ship line-up in 2022, but it hasn’t decided yet which Queen it will be.
The new ship, with a 3,000-passenger capacity and all the most modern cruise fittings, will join Queens Elizabeth, Victoria and Mary 2. Cunard, a division of Carnival, announced yesterday that it has signed construction contracts with Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard for the building.
The line has given few details, promising more for next year, but if recent upgrades of its three current ships are a guide, there will be a wide assortment of cabins, with increasing popularity of solo travel, and of apartment-sized suites.
