Mammoth Hot Springs is located in the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park, not far from Montana. It’s a rather interesting area with terraced limestone formations created by geothermal water depositing calcium carbonate. The regions in which the steamy water vents to the surface changes with time, hence the appearance of terraces keeps changing over the years.
