Carnival’s casinos: $250,000 for World Central Kitchen

Pennies at a time, Carnival cruise ships have raised over $250,000 for World Central Kitchen, José Andrés’ charity that provides emergency fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises.

Carnival has given its casino players on six of its cruise brands an optional ‘Keep the Change’ that lets gamblers cash out their dollars, and leave the cents behind for WCK.

Marty Goldman, Carnival’s vice president for gaming, said “Our goal is to always offer the best possible gaming experience for our guests, and seeing so many enthusiastically support such a worthy cause while having an extraordinary time onboard is incredibly rewarding for our entire team.”

In addition to the company’s Keep the Change program, it has supported several relief efforts through the nonprofit, including a donation that helped fund free hot meals to emergency workers, first responders and families affected by the California wildfires in 2025 and Hurricane Helene relief efforts in 2024.
