Can you tell the Tamarack?

For most of the year it is really hard to tell some pine trees apart, but in fall it becomes really easy to tell the Tamaracks! The needles turn a bright yellow and then fall to the ground. I just assumed that all pine trees were “evergreens”. I might be wrong.

Nice shot!
Incidentally, (proper) Pine trees are indeed evergreen – but Tamaracks are a type of Larch, a genus of deciduous conifers.
