Roughly six months after my ‘ascent’ of Bukit H (described in my previous post), I again got restive over what looked like another regular weekend, and searched for other options to go hiking without having to go very far, and lo and behold, there was really another small ‘peak’ adjoining Bukit—one that could be accessed both from the sister peak or directly from ground level.
Nothing could be better news for me—there was adventure yet predictability awaiting me on my latest weekend recreation. This time though, I took the decision to try out this trail after awakening late on a clear Saturday morning and debating on whether to make myself a breakfast at home, or take myself out somewhere for a fancy brunch. Needing to ‘justify’ the latter I figured that hiking would offer the best of both worlds, since a cup of coffee would suffice instead of a solid meal that would make me lethargic.
The information that there would be a street food stall at the top undoubtedly added to my joy, and I made the most of my hike and the views of my cute little town from the gentle slopes skirting this newly found ‘attraction.’
On the way back, more beautiful views awaited and the fancy lunch was forgotten in favor of more lip-smacking traditional flavors at another street food stall!
