Despite a delayed start resulting from trackwork in German and paperwork in Switzerland, European Sleeper is ready to sell tickets on its new overnight train connecting Brussels and Milan starting March 17.
The 18-hour route will debut September 9th, with ticket prices ranging from €50 for a shared compartment to €180 for a private room. Stops along the way include Como in Italy, Zurich in Switzerland and Cologne in Germany. Eventually the route will expand to include Amsterdam.
Service will operate three times a week in each direction, leaving Brussels Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 6 pm and arriving in Milan at around 11:30 am the following day. On Wednesday, Friday and Sunday it will leave Milan at 5:30 pm and reach Brussels at about 11 am.
