Where in the World is TravelGumbo? #82

I keep looking and I can't decide. The room is large...it's not a little country inn. The background looks vaguely Nordic, but I don't quite see Norway. Could it be this side of the Atlantic? maybe a large river?

My first thought was Lake Louise viewed through windows of the Chateau.  But I can't see any windows like that on the lake side of the hotel and the shape of the water at the far end isn't right.  After that, nothing.

Some very good observations and thoughts here, but we're still not at the correct answer.  Instead of just pouring out clues, I think I'd like to approach this one by answering some of your questions with a 'yes' or 'no'.

To answer some of the issues raised by the above comments:

  Country Inn -- No (Much too large) 

  Norway -- No

  This side of the Atlantic -- Yes

  Chateau Lake Louise -- No, but this building is only slightly smaller than the Chateau

And any opportunity I have to put up a photo of Lake Louise, I do.  This photo was taken in June (it stays cold in the high alpine lake for a long time)

Are there other questions I might answer?

I have no idea but I want to go there and gaze at that view. Is the lodge in Canada?

Is it possibly on the Flathead lake in Montana?

An excellent thought, SCP, but no, it's not Flathead Lake.

But it's in the same country.
