Mexico City Cathedral

The most important cultural monument is the Mexico City Cathedral (or the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in Mexico City). According to tourists, the basilica of the temple, located in the heart of the city, is visible even from the outskirts, and the bell ringing, which cannot be confused with anything else, resounds beautifully through all the streets. There are twenty-five bells in the two tall seventy-meter towers, the largest of which weighs more than thirteen tons.

Guides say that visitors should not limit themselves solely to the view from the street. Since the entrance is accessible to everyone, it is worth enjoying the opulence and luxury of the interior, made in the Renaissance style. The interior is filled with gold and ivory, and the windows have magnificent stained glass windows that fill the room with a pleasant yellow glow. A walk through such a cathedral will leave only pleasant impressions.
