Waterslide may top coasters for thrills

A company known for developing over-the-top (and down-the-chute) water attractions has come up with what it calls, in a big mouthful, the "World's First-Ever Fully Transparent Composite Looping Rocket Waterslide"

Building on other waterslides it's built, Polin Waterparks, installed its latest at Candyland Waterpark in Bodrum, Turkey. The big new feature is that not only can spectators see you as you plunge and loop past them, but you can see the horrified looks on their faces as you move in ways humans surely weren't meant to?

The ride starts with an 18-metre straight drop through the tube and into a spinning whirl of multi-colored pipes, and ends, fortunately, at the bottom. It should give some real competition to the super roller coasters that have been developing recently.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
