Wales drumming up business in Germany

Wales, the part of the U.K. most often overlooked by tourists and business alike, is working to grab attention and focus it on its new modern identity.

Working out of an office in the British Embassy in Berlin, the cheerleaders for Wales are promoting both tourism and business. Germany is the biggest export market for Welsh products, and also the biggest European investor in Wales. In 2017,  Germany accounted for nearly 15% of Welsh exports, and it has become one of the biggest sources of visitors.

With Brexit looming on the horizon, Wales wants to be sure everyone knows that no matter what happens, it's open for business and tourism, and is much more than its traditional image of sheep and remote rural areas.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
