St Aubyn Estates, which runs St Michael's Mount, just off the coast of Cornwall, is advertising for a new steward for the castle. The job requires a variety of skills, including cleaning, researching, developing displays and managing the public. The successful candidate is expected to live in the castle at least five nights a week and not to get seasick traveling to the mainland.
The current steward told BBC that “The best thing about living here is having a sea view from every window. The worst thing is not being able to get a pizza delivered to your door.”
