The Auto Museum is located in Nagakute, Japan, very near the city of Nagoya. It showcases the history of automobiles and car culture.
The museum contains approximately 140 vehicles from Japan, Europe and the US. The cars are in phenomenal condition and very well presented. It does a great job showing how advances in auto technology was inspired by the interaction between countries.
The museum also has a Culture Showroom with about 4000 auto posters, toys and mascots on display.
The gift shop really is a great place to purchase souvenirs, especially if you are interested in Toyota models that were only for sale in Japan.
