Tight squ-e-e-e-z-e though Greek canal

Navigating a car down a narrow road is one thing, but this is another: squeezing a huge cruise ship through a narrow and curving canal, with less than a yard clearance on each side.

The Fred. Olsen cruise ship Braemar did just that last week in a transit of Greece's Corinth Canal, which separates the mainland from the Peleponnese peninsula. The ship is 74 feet wide; the canal narrows down to 79 feet.

A company official told press that  "At Fred. Olsen, we strive to create memories that last a lifetime, and with guests onboard Braemar able to get so close to the edges of the Corinth Canal that they could almost touch the sides, we know that this will be a holiday that they will never forget."

You bet.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
