Tailwind Airways, which has already been operating seaplane service between lower Manhattan and Boston Harbor is now spreading its wings—and pontoons—further afield, and even has plans to go south.
For the moment, it's planning summer service to rich-folks vacation destinations on Long Island and New England, including Sag Harbor, the Hamptons, Montauk and Provincetown. Fares for the flights from Manhattan go as high as $795.
It's also asking for route approval to start service in September on a route between 23rd Street in Manhattan and Washington, DC.
