Whether you're away for the occasion or staying at home, here's your chance to imagine how much you're saving on New Years Eve by comparison with hotel rates all over the world for tonight, from highest to lowest.
A lodging aggregator, CheapHotels.org, has surveyed the world and come up with Miami Beach as the site with the least expensive average room for tonight at $365, more than 20 times more expensive than Hanoi at $15. Only centrally-located hotels were included. The survey of fifty cities is for Dec. 30 to Jan. 2. Full list is available HERE
The survey shows a lot of familiar names after Miami Beach, but the site also points out that the list is still quite different from the past because of the pandemic. Places like Dubai and Sydney Australia have fallen up to 50% in price and Hong Kong by 70% either because visitors are limited or banned, or because they have canceled travel.
