Sunsets at Charleston's Battery Park

Perhaps the best place to enjoy the setting sun in Charleston is from Battery Park. We caught two sunsets during our last visit to the city, both quite spectacular.

The above sunset was characterized by heavy clouds, and the sky a deep burgundy color -- very memorable.

One sunset was much associated with a light scattered cloud pattern, the sun a burning orb that seemed to scorch the horizon.

Always good after watching the sunset to get some great food from Charleston's many wonderful restaurants.
