So Many Amazing Events and Reasons to Visit Orlando

(SPONSORED CONTENT)

The Orange County Convention Center (also known as the Orlando Convention Center) is right in the heart of Orlando, Florida. This November and December, the convention center will be hosting a variety of popular events and performances. The DEMA Show is a can’t-miss convention for anyone in the diving industry. NFMT Orlando is the premier event in the area for people working in the world of FM. The IAAPA Expo is the largest industry event for the leisure and attractions industry. And The StompDown Experience is always a powerful, positive for everyone who attends.

And these are just some of the events happening in November. In the following month, the convention center will also be host to the I/ITSEC The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation & Education Conference, American Society of Hematology, and The Nutcracker Ballet.

Whether you are attending a conference or a performance at Orange County Convention Center, here is a helpful guide to help you plan for your event.

Transportation

If you are coming from Orlando International Airport (MCO), the convention center is about a 20-minute drive taking the tollway there. With that said, a rental car would give you the flexibility to explore other attractions before or after your event. However, sometimes getting a rental can get expensive, especially if you will be in town for more than a week. So your alternative transportation option would be taking mass transit via LYNX (Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority).

Lodging

There are several hotels near the convention center. For instance, Hilton, Rosen, Days Inn, and Midpointe are some hotels all within walking distance of the Orlando Convention Center. The closest hotel is the Hyatt Regency, which is right across the street. Because of the Regency's ultra-convenient location to the convention center, rooms tend to sell out fast if you haven’t booked well in advance. There’s also the Hyatt Place Orlando/Convention Center, which is less than a 10-minute walk away.

Dining

There are many eateries in the area, including Denny's, Mcdonald's, Dunkin, IHOP, and Red Lobster. There is also an Olive Garden, Dave & Buster's, and a Maggiano's nearby. Whatever your palate is craving, there is no shortage of fast, easy, and tasty food options available in the area, whether you are walking, driving, or taking mass transit. So if you are heading out to your event or happen to get hungry during it, then the area around the convention center will have you covered.

Other Attractions

You're in Orlando, so no one would blame you if you decided to come a few days early or stay a few days after the event at the convention center. There are so many things to see and do near there. You can shop all you want at the Orlando International Premium Outlets or ICON Park. You can play a game of mini-golf at Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf or ride the Wheel at ICON park. Did you bring your family along with you? Universal Studios, Disney World, and SeaWorld are only to name a few of the many theme parks in the area.

Planning for your event at the Orange County Convention Center has never been easier with this helpful guide. So bring it along with you and have a good time at your event.
