When you travel to the western Catskills, make sure that you leave time to ride the Delaware and Ulster Railroad. They offer a 3-hour trip through the country-side on vintage cars. These include a dome dining car, a club car and an old New York Central car whose seats have been removed and replaced with chairs and tables.

Vintage railroad rides are great, especially with the old time dining cars using real linens and excellent fare. Not to forget the lounge cars with a full bar and card tables !
