Those who know me think, perhaps rightly, that I have a fascination with birds, especially in urban settings where they are in our lives without being part of them.

Philosophy aside, these birds, perched on window sills of a building in the daily market of Bolzano, Italy, are different, and special, and more than a little fun. Enjoy them!
