Sept. 23, 2016: Feeling Sheepish

A little uncertain, I thought, as the young lamb looked my way. As if it were wondering why I was staring. Or was that me projecting feelings on it?

We encountered these sheep in a field at Abbotsbury, in Dorset, England, while on our way to visit the Abbotsbury Swannery. Of course, they didn't care about that; aside from a curious stare at us, they didn't bother to interrupt their naps or their grazing.

Any attention is pure coincidence...this is a long-enough telephoto shot that they probably didn't see me at all!

Farmers in Scotland have taken to spray painting their sheep in an effort to stop sheep rustling. The first effect has been bus loads of Japanese tourists wanting to stop and take photos. What next ? They'll soon be selling orange sweaters to tourists..OrangeSheep
