Ryanair dries out a notorious 'party flight'

Just like a conscientious bartender, Ryanair is telling some of its customers "you've had enough!" The budget airline is banning alcohol from the cabin on its twice-weekly flights from Glasgow to the Spanish vacation island of Ibiza.

That means bags will be searched at the gate; any alcohol (including duty-free) will get a free ride in the cargo hold. The measure comes after years of incidents on the flights, including one in which a plane had to be diverted to Paris; the 14 passengers removed were so intoxicated they thought they had arrived in Ibiza!
