While in Little Rock, Arkansas my husband Gene wanted to check out a local distillery named Rock Town Distillery. They were doing tours again (yay!) but we had our dog Dolly with us and it was too hot to leave her in the car. Thus Gene did the tour by himself while I sat in their tasting room with Dolly and had a few drinks, lol. Not too shabby for me!
While sitting there I learned a little bit about Rock Town Distillery. I learned it was the first legal distillery of any kind in the state of Arkansas since prohibition ended in December of 1933. Their spirits are distilled from corn, wheat, and rye which are grown within 125 miles of the distillery.
Their Tasting Room is a full-service bar offering a full complement of delicious hand-crafted cocktails featuring Rock Town’s spirits. They have some very unique names cocktails. I am including a link to their menu. Here are their hours:
Sunday – 11 am to 9 pm
Monday – closed
Tuesday – 11 am to 9 pm
Wednesday – 11 am to 9 pm
Thursday – 11 am to 9 pm
Friday – 11 am to 11 pm
Saturday – 11 am to 11 pm
If you are interested in a tour, they take you through the whole process of making spirits, from grain to glass. You even get a cute souvenir glass to keep on the tour. The tour takes about an hour and you get to taste eight of their spirits. They offer tours at 2, 4, and 7 most days except Monday, they are closed. Reservations are required, so check out their website for more information and pre-book your tour. The price of the tour is $15.
