Rex Roars in San Diego

This 20,000-pound cat stationed at the entrance to the San Diego Zoo has become a popular site for family pictures since it was installed in 2018 as the Zoo's 100th birthday present to itself. It's officially 'Rex's Roar.'

All that weight is supported on one foot by what you can't see: that paw extends below the surface and is embedded in 100,000 pounds of concrete.
