Rainbow City coming to Shreveport, LA

Shreveport has been added to the list of cities hosting whimsical Rainbow City along with Hong Kong, New York and Miami. The internationally renowned FriendsWithYou Artist Collective of Arturo Sandoval, III and Samuel L. Borkson has taken the collection of 40 air-filled sculptures, some soaring 50 feet into the air, around the world.

Presented by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council, Rainbow City will offer a fun-filled festival, November 2 to December 8, 2019, as the people of Shreveport celebrate the grand opening of the city’s first urban greenspace—Caddo Common.

Rainbow City is a vibrant, imaginative, pop-art city of giant inflatables where people can run, bounce and just enjoy the experience. It’s a dance party with live music on Friday nights, DJs and pizza on a Sunday evening, and a “turkey trot” Thanksgiving morning. Other events are planned for the six-week exhibition as well.

Caddo Common and Rainbow City are located at 869 Texas Avenue in downtown Shreveport.  It is free and open to the public.
