Mickey D: Bringing it all back home

Or at least bringing some of its overseas 'delicacies' back to the U.S. to give fans a taste of how international McDonald's has become. And for those who've traveled the world finding local foods adapted to McDonald style, another chance at such items as a Stroopwafel McFlurry, McCurry Pan, Paneer Salsa Wrap or McFalafel.

Starting soon, the winners of a Florida taste test will be available, at least some of the time in some locations, across the U.S. Of course, some could catch on and become permanent, but quite a few are likely to just have a novelty run.

The Points Guy website claims to have a leaked list of the dishes selected after a trial run in 50 South Florida locations, and says you'll soon see Spain's Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger, Canada's Tomato Mozzarella Chicken sandwich, Australia's Cheesy Bacon Fries and the Netherlands' Stroopwafel McFlurry.

But, apparently, we'll not be seeing Hong Kong McSpicy Chicken or Malaysian BBQ McShaker Fries. Or the Tamago burger from Japan.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations

Somewhat surprised not to see India's Maharaja Mac on this list.  It is quite spicy and comes in vegetarian and chicken versions.

Have to hand credit to McDonalds for keeping its menu varied and interesting.  I rarely eat there anymore except when travelling, when the kids were young this was the only place they wanted to go.
