May 25, 2019: Down the Jersey Shore

One of America's classic summer destinations, the Jersey Shore is actually a long stretch of ocean-front towns, each with its own character. Manasquan, above, has been a family favorite of ours, with its relaxed atmosphere.

But just across the Manasquan Inlet, below, is Point Pleasant Beach, with a much bigger beach crowd and, for those in need of amusement, a much bigger assortment of arcades and beach shops. Always was a treat for our kids.

But a word of caution: if you happen to be a fan of the movie Big, with Tom Hanks, you'll know what I mean!
