Thean Hou Temple

The temple is a synthesis of three religions -Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. At the entrance of the temple, you come across the fountain of Kuan Yin and get blessed by the Goddess of Mercy. KL Bird Park
Visit KL Bird Park which was once part of the Lake Gardens became a safe haven for some three thousand birds in the year 1991. The park covers an area of twenty acres which makes it the biggest enclosed bird park in the world. The park has four different zones with an array of different activities. As you enter Zone 1 you get to visit the Love Aviary which is the first stop of the park. The aviary is the abode of the Indian ring-necked parakeets, cockatiels and Sun Conures. The Brahimy land is home to the Brahminy Kites which are the local birds and are known for their hunting skills. Next attraction of the section is the Flamingo Pond where you can admire the beauty and antics of Flamingos and Pelicans leading to Bulbul Land where Bulbuls, Silver Pheasants and Asian Fairy Bluebirds can be easily spotted. Zone 2 is the playground of the Baya weaver which is as everyone knows is popular for its nest weaving craft. The neighbours of the Baya are the Nicobar pigeon, Ostriches and also the Scarlet Ibis. Zone 3 is ruled by the hornbill family the Oriental Pied Hornbill and the Rhinoceros Hornbill along with purple swamphen and hill mynas.
