July 7, 2016: Bodiam Castle, England c.1385.

This is one of my favourite Castles. It has a moat around it. And it's still in use today with weddings and functions. This Castle is in East Sussex near the south coast of England.

I love to see historic buildings that are kept "alive" .

Thanks Neil. Weddings in England have to be performed under a roof. So they use the gatehouse area beneath the towers at the entrance. Guests can be seated on the grassed area or pathway. The wedding reception is held behind the gatehouse in a white marquee. The roof vanished centuries ago. Passed by your neck of the woods many times. My son lives close by in DE. and I often drop in for a cup of tea when I'm passing from England.
