While in Waikiki having a car can be very hard to find a parking place, and if you do, it’s very expensive. It makes much more sense to ditch the car and take public transportation.

You have many options from typical city buses as well as trolleys. Gene really liked the buses he termed the whale buses. Here are some pictures of buses and trolleys running around Waikiki.
