Jan. 2, 2017: Bank beauty in Paris

I was in Paris on a beautiful day a couple summers ago snapping photos  of street scenes as I walked. When I got home,  I looked at this photo and noticed the beautiful building at the end of the street. I discovered it's really one of the prettiest buildings in Paris, the BNP Paribas Investment Partners Headquarters at 14 rue Bergere.

The building was built under the architect Edouard Jules Corroyer between 1878 and 1881 and was the headquarters of former bank Comptoir National d'Escompye de Paris. It's considered a model for 19th century bank architecture. The building was totally refurbished between 2007 and 2009.

I'll be back on my next trip to see more.
