Add this one to the stories of babies born in flight or in taxicabs: The Deutsche Bahn high-speed service from Paris to Strasbourg and beyond made an unscheduled 90-minute stop at Louvigny in eastern France for a delivery.
According to local newspapers, the stop allowed a medical team to board and deliver the baby. Mother and son, named Felix, were then transferred to a local hospital, all in good condition.
Local media were speculating whether the train operator would give the new passenger a special gift, perhaps a free pass for future travel, as has happened in the past. A child born in 2018 on a Paris commuter train was given a free Navigo pass for Paris transport through his 25th birthday.
