A few years ago I had the pleasure of taking a Caribbean cruise. It was such fun spending time with my family, being pampered by the front line crew who did their best to make sure all of their guests were having a good time, and being spoiled by the staff behind the scenes who prepared delicious food for us everyday.
Case in point, one evening the cruise ship hosted a "Dessert Extravaganza". Since I and my family are not ones to miss out on dessert, we attended this affair. As soon as we walked into the area where the "Dessert Extravaganza" was taking place, we were awestruck. There were fruits and desserts as far as the eye could see. None of us had ever seen anything like it.
Saying that this was just food and that it just tasted wonderful would be an understatement. These creations were pieces of art that were exquisite to behold and to taste. I was amazed at the care and craftsmanship taken to create these delights.
As I look back at these photos of this amazing extravaganza, I remember how thankful I was to not only be able to go on this cruise with my family, but to share with them in the enjoyment of this lovely feast.
For those of you who may not be aware of this fact, today is "Thanksgiving Day", a holiday in the United States. So, to all of our American friends, I would like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all have the opportunity to enjoy a feast with your family and friends, and I hope you all have much to be thankful for.
