The Strasburg Train - Pennsylvania.

Climb aboard the larger-than-life steam train and enjoy a round-trip ride through the tranquil Amish countryside to Paradise, PA and back.

This is the most relaxing day I have on my annual tour of the American north east.

This magnificent Steam Locomotive is much larger than any working train I can ride at home in the UK.

With its open air carriages it passes through farms and playgrounds. The kids all wave - and you have to wave back. Wonderful Museum too.

A favorite with my kids when they were young (and with me!) Nearby, there is the Pennsylvania state railroad museum and the National Toy Train Museum, as well as all the attractions of Lancaster County "Amish Country." Thanks!
