Graceland's virtual tour: $100 a ticket!

Betting that the King of Rock and Roll is still a hot ticket even though his Graceland estate is largely unavailable to visitors because of travel restrictions, the management of the Memphis estate is selling tickets to a virtual tour at $100 a pop.

The two-hour tours with a live guide will be held on January 27, February 25 and March 25. The virtual tours, which include the mansion, the private jet and other exhibits, covers basically what a $75 in-person ticket does. Ticket buyers will have access to the tour for 72 hours after, and can watch it as often as they can stand.

Graceland says this project was in the works even before the pandemic; aside from the current promotion, it was also aimed at international audiences. A spokesperson said that normally about 20% of Graceland's visitors are international, but "our international visitorship right now is, obviously,  zero."

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
