Fork in the Road, Serengeti National Park

I was reminded of Robert Frost's poem, "The Fork in the Road", when I was looking at my photo of this lioness stretched across the road.

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood..."

The road was near a lion rock, or kopje.  It was in a National Park and vehicles are not allowed to go "offroad", so we had to wait until she moved before we could drive on.

We stopped to enjoy the wildlife for a few minutes, then both lion and our Land Rover went their separate ways.  We ended up taking the road to the right of the fork, she backtracked and joined her pride on the rock.
